Brief description of activities
Combined Universities in Cornwall (CUC) is a partnership of universities and colleges in Cornwall which aim is to improve Cornwall’s education system and improve Cornish economy and prosperity.

CUC is an unincorporated association of six Cornish universities and colleges. It is composed by a Steering Group, in charge of the direction of the partnership, and an Executive Group charged with the implementation of the overall strategy. The Partnership Support Team is CUC’s administrative body and works on behalf of the partnership.

CUC involves the following universities and colleges:
- University of Exeter,
- University of Plymouth,
- University College Falmouth,
- Peninsula School of Medicine and Dentistry,
- Cornwall College,
- Truro and Penwith College.

The role of the Combined Universities of Cornwall is to foster and finance the growth of universities and colleges in Cornwall and, through that, benefit the whole region. Attracting students to Cornish universities has also had an impact on local’s economy: 4000 jobs are expected to be created by 2025 according to an independent study commissioned by the CUC.
