South West Regional Employment & Skills Board (SWRESB) Annual Conference

The SWRESB Annual Conference will take place at the Bristol City Centre Marriot Hotel on Tuesday 18 May 2010 from 9:30 – 16:00. The conference will concentrate on ‘The EU and lessons from the continent’ and will provide the opportunity to discover more about European techniques, attitudes and policies that will assist us in learning how to sustain a competitive and prosperous South West economy.

Keynote Speakers will include Chris Humphries CBE, Chief Executive of the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, and Robert Strauss, Head of Unit for the New Skills for New Jobs at the European Commission. There will also be speakers from Spain (Green Jobs Programme), Italy (Impact of Demographic Ageing for Cities) and Denmark (Employee Engagement to Ensure Sustainable Economic Development).
