South West businesses and academics join forces to generate power
Experts and business professionals on renewable energy technology gathered in Cornwall on January 8th to study businesses and academic opportunities to collaborate on the development of a wave and tidal energy in the South West. The Peninsula Research Institute for Marine Renewable Energy (PRIMaRE) Annual Research Conference was hosted by the University of Exeter and was an opportunity for businesses and academic to work together on marine renewable energy technologies.
The Peninsula Research Institute for Marine Renewable Energy (PRIMaRE) is a joint institute research of the Universities of Exeter and Plymouth and focuses on exploiting sea energy and supporting the marine renewable energy sector development. It is contributing to South West RDA’s Wave Hub project, which aims to create the world’s largest wave energy test site in the Cornish coast.
