Regional Event in North Somerset on Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion

On February 25th 2010 North Somerset will host the South West Regional Event on Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.

This free event, organized by the South West Forum together with the Department for Work and Pensions, Third Sector European Network and South West Action on Poverty, will introduce the European Year 2010 for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion and explain its main objectives. The conference will be organized in three different sessions that would set the general background for the European Year, the ways of tackling poverty in the region and will try to look for concrete actions that will take place during the year.
The regional event will be the perfect occasion for sharing best practices amongst the participants and a way of engaging new stakeholders with the possibility of helping to combat poverty.
