First graduates from 2 European funded projects in Cornwall
On 22 September the ceremony for the graduates from two European funded projects took place in Newquay, Cornwall. Xtra-Vert and Cross Step are two projects, supported by the European Social Fund, set up by the Real Ideas Organisation (RIO). The aim of these projects was support young people in Cornwall to get into jobs or to re-enter education by providing training or apprenticeships schemes. Xtra-Vert provided carpentry skills to skateboard lovers so they will be able to work on the construction of a skate ramp; the Cross Step project provided to students surf coaching and life guarding training. More information is available on the ESF website.
