Cornish singer wins European Border Breakers Awards

The Cornish Charlie Winston, HOBO, is one of the winners of the European Border Breakers Awards (EBBAs), a contest organized by the European Commission’s Culture Programme and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). The European Border Breakers Awards aims to reward cross-border artists, the spread of their work outside their home country and to draw attention to the rich European musical diversity.
The award ceremony took place on January 14 in Oosterpoort Theatre Groningen (The Netherlands) and was broadcast throughout Europe. The contest celebrates its 7th edition and since 2004 has awarded well-known musicians such as: Tokyo Hotel, Carla Bruni, Tiziano Ferro or The Thrills.
