Conference: Cornwall in Europe

The London Metropolitan University hosted on 28 October the conference “Cornwall in Europe”. The event was jointly organised by the Federal Trust for Education and Research and the Centre for European Research within Cornwall (CERES). Event speakers included Sue Hill (Director of the WildWorks theatre company), who spoke about Cornwall's history and distinctive traditions, John Fleet (CERES) on the organisation's work at cultural heritage and socially-related levels; David Aynsley (Cornwall & Devon Constabulary), on Cornwall's participation in the Council of Europe's Disadvantaged Neighbourhoods Programme; and Carleen Keleman (Convergence Partnership office for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly), on Cornwall's achievements with European funding.
