Education & Sport

Ensuring that citizens are equipped with and have access to knowledge, skills and training opportunities is a key priority for enhancing economic developments in the South West. The local learning partnership approach has been central to delivering this objective, bringing together local authorities, the educational community and business representatives.

The European Institutions work closely in conjunction with both Member States and regions to pursue policies and programmes in the area of education that are relevant at the European, national and local level. Funding mechanisms such as the EU Lifelong Learning programme are accessible to many clients working in all areas of education, from primary teaching to adult learning, even encompassing educational research.

The South West European Partnership provides two tiers of services: core and bespoke. 'Core' gives access to the funding guide and a unique calendar of EU Calls for Proposal, both update annually. These are key tools for anyone looking to form a project proposal in the area of education and learning.

'Bespoke' services are tailored to the individual, and in the area of education this is typically related to project support services. The SW European Partnership can support all stages of project development, from initial ideas and brainstorming, right the way through to partner searching, bid submission and ending up at dissemination of project results.
